- 1). Get a check from your checkbook.

On the line that reads, "Pay to the Order of" write "Cash." - 3). Fill in the amount of cash you need in the box with the dollar sign. (i.e. $25.00). On the next line, write out the amount of the check. (i.e. twenty-five and no/100). The "no/100" means and "no cents."
- 4). Sign the check on the bottom line at the right. Make sure your signature matches the name on your check.
- 5). Make sure you endorse, or sign, the check on the back. This signature should also match the name on the check.
- 6). Take the check to the bank and give it to the teller. You'll receive your cash.
