Energizing Yourself With a Chakra Meditation
Inside our bodies, there are points of energy that we use which will allow us to fully experience and realize the world around us.
These are usually points of light that are composed of colors of the rainbow.
They are called Chakras.
Each color chakra represents and is located in different parts of the body such as the head and the stomach.
Some organs within the area of the chakras are directly affected by the properties of that chakra.
While each chakra has a function, they also need to be strengthened.
This is where meditation becomes the key.
You can find various websites and books not only discussing chakras and their functions but also how to exercise them so they can work for you.
Usually the meditation method involves sitting or lying down, taking a deep breath and focusing on each chakra in your body.
As you do, you imagine that the color of that chakra is emitted as a ray of light and oftentimes followed by a symbol to help you to focus on this chakra better.
For example: Then Naval Chakra, which is located in the lower abdomen, is represented by the color orange.
So, you imagine an orange beam coming out of your body or through your body if you prefer.
Then you can imagine a symbol or representation of that chakra.
Since it is represented by pleasure and giving and receiving, you can imagine that you have received a gorgeous orange fabric that feels comfortable and close to your skin.
Or you can imagine smelling orange blossoms while walking through the woods, or any kind of image you can think have related to this color.
There are also gems and crystals that are associated with the chakras as well.
So while you might not be able to think of an image or representation of the Naval Chakra or the color orange that is associated with it, you might want to envision the crystals and gems of amber or coral that are said to represent it.
In addition to the imagining the colors of each chakra shooting out of your body, you might want to also imagine that your body and mind is cleansing itself from clutter or issues that could be affecting your chakras.
For example: The Heart Chakra, located in the center of the chest is symbolized by love and understanding as well as forgiveness, balance and compassion.
If you have been feeling off balance or someone has hurt you recently, and feel ill feelings or pain in this area, more than likely this chakra is blocked and an issue associated with the chakra needs to be examined or looked at such as words of a false rumor, stress, etc.
While you become more aware of the chakras in your meditation practice, you can also become more aware of the issues involved and find clarity in how to better deal with these issues.
Not only will you clear yourself, but your body, mind, and spirit will thank you for it.
