Cub Cadet LT1018 Mower Blade Installation

- 1). Run the Cub Cadet until it runs out of gas, or siphon the gas from the tank with a gas siphon.
- 2). Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally turning on while you are working on the blade.
- 3). Place the Cub Cadet on its side so you can access the blade. The mower is heavy, so use the help of a friend.
- 4). Wedge a wooden block between the side of the first blade and the mower deck.
- 5). Loosen and remove the retaining nut from the center of the blade with a socket and ratchet. Remove the old blade from the Cub Cadet.
- 6). Place the new blade onto the shaft and wedge the block between the blade and the deck.
- 7). Tighten the retaining nut onto the shaft to lock the blade in place.
- 8). Duplicate the process with the second blade.
