What Does an EF Lens Stand For?

    Wide Zoom

    • Canon manufactures four wide zoom EF lenses: a 10-22mm, an 8-15mm Fisheye, a 16-35mm and a 17-40mm. Wide zoom EF lenses from Canon allow you to shoot from far away while including more in your image.

    Telephoto

    • Canon manufactures a wide variety of telephoto and super telephoto EF lenses for EOS cameras. Telephoto lenses allow you to shoot close-ups of any subject and shoot scenes from far away. Super telephoto lenses give extreme detail in photographs taken from very long distances.

    Wide Angle

    • Canon manufactures nine wide-angle EF lenses: 14-, 15-, 20-, 24-, 28- and 35-mm focal lengths, with a variety of aperture ranges. Wide-angle lenses allow you to shoot full scenes from close distances.
