    • The 33-unit Princess Motel in Maryville is best accessed from the south of Maryville on U.S. 411. According to its website, rooms at the Princess include televisions with HBO and cable programming and direct-dial phones. Guests can grab a quick morning coffee for free in the lobby, and several restaurants--from fast food to sit-down establishments--are close by. The Princess also provides shopping to Maryville's major shopping district, the Foothills Mall and the local golf course, Royal Oaks. The Princess also has a pool and four different room types. Visitors are welcome to walk, hike or ride their bikes along the Greenbelt Trail, an eight-mile park that connects the two cities of Maryville and Alcoa. The Trail winds through residential and retail areas of both cities, providing travel for pedestrians without having to deal with major highways.

    RT Lodge

    • The restaurant chain Ruby Tuesday's owns the RT Lodge, and it is Maryville's upscale accommodation. The RT Lodge has two inns that feature double and king-size beds with high-quality bedding. But many of the amenities are outside the rooms, as the RT has what its website calls a "hunting lodge" feel. It has indoor and outdoor fireplaces, a billiards room, a bar and lounge, and basketball and volleyball courts. The RT Lodge also has its own restaurant with its own executive chef who specializes in Southern cuisine. The RT Lodge is closest to Maryville College, which has been the city's chief center for secondary education since the school's founding in 1819.
