How to Plan a Trip to Las Vegas

Find Luxury Accommodations in Las Vegas, Nevada

    • 1). Book your accommodations through the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Use their Web site (see Resources below) or call (702) 892-0711.

    • 2). Stay at the Four Seasons Las Vegas. Book through their Web site (see Resources below) or call (702) 632-5000.

    • 3). Consider one of the growing number of resort/spa complexes, particularly those built around golf courses. Many visitors enjoy the slower pace, comfort and beauty of these establishments while staying just a few minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.

    • 4). Explore the many "boutique" hotels Las Vegas has to offer; these establishments are usually smaller and more intimate than the mega hotels and offer the highest level of luxury accommodations.

    • 5). Consult local real estate agents for vacation home rentals. These facilities are regularly available in all ranges of luxury.

    • 6). Look to the stellar luxury casino/hotels along the fabled "Strip" (Las Vegas Boulevard South), technically located just outside the Las Vegas city limits. As an idiosyncratic rule of thumb, the more the architecture of one of these casino/hotels resembles that of some other locale (like Paris, Venice, ancient Rome, ancient Egypt or New York), the more likely it is that the establishment will offer premium luxury accommodations.

    • 7). Consider one of the older casino/hotels in the downtown area known as the "Fremont Street Experience." These venues are making a concerted effort to attract visitors from the glitzier Las Vegas Strip.

Arrange Your Travel to Las Vegas, Nevada

    • 1). Fly to Las Vegas via any of the dozens of international, national and regional carriers that service nearby McCarran International Airport. The airport is just a few miles east of the city center and rental cars, taxis, shuttles and limousines are available around the clock.

    • 2). Drive to Las Vegas by way of Interstate 15, the major east/west freeway running through the American Southwest. Most visitors from Southern California use this route, which extends eastward to Salt Lake City. Take State Highway 95 to reach Las Vegas from the north or south.
