Evolution Robotics Mint Automatic Hard Floor Cleaner, 4200 Review
The Evolution Robotics Mint Automatic Hard Floor Cleaner, 4200 is exclusively designed for sweeping and mopping your hard surface floors for you. Utilizing dry and pre-moistened cleaning cloths, Mint picks up the dirt, dust, and pet hair that can constantly accumulate on floors. The compact design is able to fit into tight spaces, under furniture and many other areas that can be tricky to reach with traditional mops and sweepers.
The NorthStar Navigation System works like an indoor GPS helping the Mint keep on top of where it has been and where it needs to go. The Cube projects a signal that allows the Mint to determine its location. As it starts to clean, it will begin to build a map of the area as it goes, marking walls and obstacles such as furniture or drop offs as it encounters them. When it's finished cleaning, it performs a final edge cleaning before returning to where it started so you know where to find it.Mint is designed to work with commonly available disposable cleaning cloths, or re-usable microfiber cloths. These specially designed microfiber cloths can be re-washed and re-used literally hundreds of times. The flat white microfiber cloths make a good choice for collecting dust and dirt while dry sweeping. Textured grey cloths hold water to help loosen and nab the deeper dust and grime while mopping. Mint comes with a starter pack of 1 mopping and 2 sweeping cloths.

The Mint hard floor cleaner is not a vacuum so you won't need to worry about emptying any bins or replacing any filters. Although there are many benefits to this hard floor cleaner, it doesn't do a deep clean. It simply isn't heavy enough to d
Some of the pros mentioned by various reviewers are that it is silent and does a pretty good job of sweeping up hair and dust, although it won't pick up larger pieces of dirt it just ends up pushing them around. It is able to get in most corners as well, but one of the biggest pluses is the price tag. Its inexpensive compared to some other robots, and this alone is a selling point.
It will eventually streak hardwood floors while mopping though, since at some point it's going to inevitably go against the grain. To lesson the streaking, you can face the robot with the grain.
One reviewer who was very happy with this purchase would highly recommend this fantastic little piece of engineering if you want to keep your hard surface floors clean between vacuum/mopping days. And it's wonderful if you want to keep pet hair off of your hardwood or tile floors. The included microfiber cloths are able to pick up a lot of junk off the floors. The designers were clever with the effective programming allowing the Mint to maneuver around obstacles, clean edges and avoid getting stuck.
As clever as this programming is, there is one problem that a consumer brought up, and that was the inconvenient location of the charger plug in. They stated that it was directly underneath so you have to flip the whole unit upside down just to charge it. It could take a full 6 hours to charge it, which is really kind of a long time honestly.
A reviewer who has saltillo tiles said that it was too much for the Mint to handle making its behavior very strange. The reviewer also said that by definition, these types of tile are not perfectly flat. They also have a wide and deep grout line. The conclusion was that if anyone wants a clean floorBathroom Tile hardwood floors as well as products recommended for cleaning hardwood flooring
