- 1). First, it is important to remember to turn off all necessary programs when you are not using them. Try turning off Bluetooth technology when you are not using it.
To do this, simple access your "Settings" followed by "Wireless & Networks" and then "Bluetooth". - 2). After that, you will want to do the same to your Wi-Fi when it is not in use.
Similar to the Bluetooth, you can change this setting by accessing "Settings" - "Wireless & Networks" and then "Wi-Fi". Changing these 2 settings alone will make a big difference. - 3). Next, you can turn off automatic applications sync.
This can be done by hitting "Settings" followed by "Accounts & Sync". - 4). Finally, add the "Power Control" widget by hitting "Add" - "Widgets" - "Power Control"
What this widget does is make it easier to enable and disable all applications that may be wasting battery life. Features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Google, and brightness can all be controlled and managed by this widget.
If you don't want to spend the time to manually switch features on and off, adding this widget may be the way to go when trying to save battery life on a Droid.
