How to Block LimeWire Ports With a D-Link

    • 1). Open your Web browser and enter your IP address in the address bar. By default, the IP address of all D-Link routers is 192.168.0.1.

    • 2). Login to your D-Link router account. By default, the user name is "Admin" and the password field is left blank.

    • 3). Select the "Advanced" tab and select "Port Forwarding."

    • 4). Enter a name for this port, such as "limewire."

    • 5). Enter the port that LimeWire uses. By default, LimeWire uses port 6346 for both TCP and UDP.

    • 6). Set the "Schedule" to "Never." Instead of setting the schedule to "Always", "Never" will ensure that your router will never use that port, blocking LimeWire from connecting on your router.

    • 7). Click the "Save Settings" button and exit the window.
