How to Block LimeWire Ports With a D-Link
- 1). Open your Web browser and enter your IP address in the address bar. By default, the IP address of all D-Link routers is 192.168.0.1.
- 2). Login to your D-Link router account. By default, the user name is "Admin" and the password field is left blank.
- 3). Select the "Advanced" tab and select "Port Forwarding."
- 4). Enter a name for this port, such as "limewire."
- 5). Enter the port that LimeWire uses. By default, LimeWire uses port 6346 for both TCP and UDP.
- 6). Set the "Schedule" to "Never." Instead of setting the schedule to "Always", "Never" will ensure that your router will never use that port, blocking LimeWire from connecting on your router.
- 7). Click the "Save Settings" button and exit the window.
