How to Make a Pom Pom for Rollerskates
- 1). Hold your left hand so that the fingers are slightly spread out. Wrap yarn at least 20 times around the outside of your fingers, maintaining space between your fingers.
- 2). Slide the yarn off your fingers gently. Cut a piece of yarn a foot long. Tie that piece of yarn around the middle of the wrapped yarn and tie it tightly. Put several knots until the tie in the middle is strong and secure. Your pom pom should be in the shape of a bow tie at this point.
- 3). Put your scissors through the loops on either side of the bow and cut them so that there are no longer any loops. Feather out the strings to make the pom pom spherical.
- 4). If you want extra decorations, add bells and beads by stringing them onto the long piece of yarn that was used to tie the knot in the middle of the pom pom.
- 5). Tie the pom pom to the laces of the roller skate with the long piece of yarn. Do not let the pom pom hang too low or it will interfere with your ability to skate. Make as many pom poms as you like to decorate your roller skate.
