  The village of Aviemore is centered in The Cairngorms National Park of Scotland. The area is a destination for skiing, mountain climbing, fishing and many other outdoor pursuits. "Aviemore is now a force to be reckoned with and plays a vital part in the Scottish Tourist Industry," according to the Visit Aviemore official website. Several caravan parks are available for visitors to the Aviemore area, all of which are within easy walking distance of the center of the village.
  
  

Loch Garten Caravan Park

• The Loch Garten Caravan Park is situated about seven miles from the center of Aviemore. Accommodations include fully furnished static caravans and hotel rooms. Caravans are equipped with a television, VCR and microwave. Visit the Strathspey Steam Railway or the Cairngorm Brewery while you're in the area. Outdoor activities include water sports on Loch Morlich and Loch Insh and skiing the Cairngorm Mountain in the Cairngorm National Park. Restaurants within walking distance include Anderson's and The Old Bridge Inn.
  
  

High Range

• The High Range caravan park is located in Aviemore, about a five-minute walk from the center of town. High Range offers caravan accommodations as well as motel and camping facilities. The caravan park is situated at the base of the Craigellachie Nature Reserve, which features mountain views and silver birch trees. Local activities include skiing, golfing, fishing, skeet shooting and wildlife tours. The High Range caravan park features a 24-hour security system and laundry facilities. An on-site restaurant, La Taverna Ristorante, serves Italian cuisine and offers both dine-in and take-out options.
  
  

Glenmore Caravan Park

• The Glenmore Caravan Park is located in the Cairngorms National Park, adjacent to the beach at Loch Morlich. Glenmore Caravan Park is about five miles from Aviemore. Both RVs and campers are welcome at Glenmore, with a total of 206 camping sites available. The park has amenities such as laundry facilities and a child's park. Local activities include fishing, hiking and area tours with the Glenmore Wildlife Rangers. Wildlife in the area includes golden eagles and pine marten. The Old Bridge Inn and Spice of India restaurants are within walking distance of the park.
