Simply put, branding is a process of producing a product or company's identity. To date branding is an important step a company has to consider in order to grab the attention of a certain market. Consumers will tend to purchase products mainly because they recognize the brand name. Familiarity allows people to stay within their comfort zones. Advertising plays a major factor in reaching out to a target market, television, the internet and various visual peripherals add to the brand's identity and name recall. The brand logo is the most identifiable aspect of any company or merchandise. What person on earth does not recognize the famous Golden Arches? The logo plays an important role, visually stimulating and intriguing.

The typical consumer however will often ignore or take a logo design for granted. Logo designing is a particularly complicated method. It is very rare to come across a company that has come across their design by accident. Going back to the Golden Arches logo, have you ever wondered why they chose a golden hue? The explanation is that, this color is psychologically proven to stimulate hunger. Realistically, logo design involves the complete attention of a reputable and highly qualified advertising group.

Logo design falls within the area of graphic design. More than finding stimulating visuals, the group is tasked to find or integrate certain meanings into their designs. Second, logo design must not include gradient as a main logo feature. Logos are more effective if they utilize little colors as possible. This is to ensure that the logo is not overwhelming also it ensures easier reproduction of any product that logo is to go on.
