How to Make a Ring Tone for an LG VX300
- 1). Go to a website, such as Audiko, Make Own Ring tone or Cut MP3 (see Resources).
- 2). Click "Browse" on the page, and locate the MP3 file. Place the markers on the timeline to set the range and clip duration.
- 3). Press the "Play" button to listen to your selection. Click the "Make Ring Tone" button to convert and trim the MP3.
- 4). Connect your LG VX300 to the computer via its USB data cable. Once connected, it will automatically detect and install drivers for your device. When the process ends, open "LG_Media" folder on your computer. You will find this folder under "My Computer" with a specific drive letter assigned. Inside the main folder, navigate to the "My Audio" folder.
- 5). Copy and paste the trimmed MP3 file to this folder, and unplug your device from the computer.
- 6). Search for and select the new ring tone in your cell phone's "Ringers" folder found in the "Settings" menu. Every time your phone rings, you will get to hear your very own personalized ring tone.
