IHC B-414 Torque Specifications
- IHC, or the International Harvester Company, has been in business since 1831. With headquarters in Illinois, the company offers farming machinery, from tractors of various sizes to tractor attachments such as reapers and harvesters. The IHC B-414 was a small tractor model, offered in the early and mid 1960s, that came in two models, featuring either a diesel or gas engine.
- The B-414 came with a variety of available options that allowed its weight to range from 3,600 pounds to 6,715 pounds. Regardless of fuel compatibility selected, the engine was a four-cylinder model with a fuel capacity just short of 13 gallons.
- The B-414's gasoline engine was a model BC-144, which was liquid cooled and produced 43.5 horsepower and 2,000 rpm. The engine's torque was 116 foot-pounds at 1,300 rpm. The engine required 10 quarts of coolant and had a five-quart oil capacity. This engine's compression ratio was 6.3-to-1.
- The B-414's diesel engine was a model BD-154, which was liquid cooled, and also offers 43.5 horsepower at 2,000 rpm. The diesel engine's torque was 113 foot-pounds at 1400 rpm. As with the gas engine model, this engine required 10 quarts of coolant and had a five-quart oil capacity. The diesel engine's compression ratio was 22.6-to-1.
