Staff Selection Commission - Largest Recruiter Board

Through the Civil Services exam the Union Public Service Commission of India or UPSC recruits gazetted officials of Group A and group B for the different ministries and departments of the Government of India. The previous format of one General Studies Paper and one Optional Subject Paper in the IAS Prelims has been replaced by CSAT or the Civil Services Aptitude Test in which the candidates have to answer a General Studies Paper and a General Aptitude Paper and the new system is expected to disseminate the disparity in the old evaluation system due to subject specific scoring abilities. The CSAT will enable the government to recruit better and compatible officials with proper aptitude who possess a sense of moral and ethical values to properly discharge their responsibilities.
