How to Back Up Cell Phone Numbers
- 1). Open the main menu on your Sprint cell phone. Choose "Settings," then "Contacts." Click on "Mobile Sync," then "Activate." Complete the activation process by pressing "Yes," which will confirm your selections.
- 2). Log on to the Sprint website (See Resource 1). Register for an account with a user name and password if you do not already have one. Click on "My Online Tools" from the menu located at the top of the page. Scroll to the "Communications Tools" section of your account. Click on "Spring Mobile Sync." View the list of your current contacts.
- 3). Click on the yellow button labeled "Add Contact" to add a new person to the list. Click on "Save" after you have finished adding all the requested information.
- 4). Click the person's name you wish to edit to update the listing with new information. Click "Save."
- 5). Tick the boxes of the contacts you wish to delete, then hit the "Delete" button. Click "Save," then "Sync Now" to have the information sent to your handset.
- 1). Point your browser to Verizon Wireless (See Resource 2). Log in to your account or register for a new account. Hover your mouse over the "My Services" button from the top menu and click "Backup Assistant." Select your cell phone device. Follow the instructions to download and set up the Backup Assistant.
- 2). From your mobile device, open the main menu and select "Media Center," then "Browse and Download." Select "Business Tools" and click "OK." Smartphone users can access the phone's market and select "Get New Application," then "Backup Assistant."
- 3). Install the application and choose a PIN, which will be used to access or update your contact list. Log back on to your account at Verizon Wireless and follow the prompts to add, edit or delete contacts.
- 4). Set up Backup Assistant on your phone and choose a PIN. Verizon will automatically sync your contacts whether you add them on your device or through your account online.
- 1). Open the EasyEdge shop from your mobile device. Access the "Free Stuff" section and choose "Free Download--My Contacts Backup." Fill out all required information in order to complete the registration process. Set up your PIN and accept the U.S. Cellular terms of service. Save the information.
- 2). Add a new contact by choosing "Create New Contact" in the "Manage Contacts" section of the application. Enter the information and click "Save Contact." Edit contacts by choosing the "Edit Contact" button. Click "Save" when the information is updated.
- 3). Return to the main menu and open "My Contacts Backup." Choose "Set Up," then "Auto-Backup." Select the frequency with which you wish your contact to be backed up. Save the settings.
- 4). Manually back up your contact list anytime by selecting "Backup" from the main menu in the application.
