Video: Abdominal Exercises for Woman

Hi, my name is Teresa from Pilates Studio City. Today, I'm going to show you some abdominal exercises for women. And if I know women I know that we would all like a smaller waistline. So, these ab exercises are going to give you a very cinched in waist which I think we all would like. So, you are going to have a seat on your mat. Your legs are going to reach out in front, they are going to be hip distance apart. Your feet are nice and flat. So, imagine like they are pressed up against a wall and you have that equal weight through your feet. Your arms are going to be out to a t position here. This exercise is a Pilates exercise called the spine twist. And it's a great way to get that small waistline that we all would like. So, from here you are going to take a deep inhale as you rotate to the right you are looking toward that back hand. And then exhale as you come to the center. Inhale as you rotate to the left and exhale back to center. So, you want to feel the work coming from the waistline right underneath your ribcage and center. Feel like you are growing taller with every movement. And center. Last two and exhale. Last one and exhale. I'm going to show you a little more advanced version now if you want a little extra work. You are going to stack your hands on top of one another. We are going to take an inhale to prepare. You are going to do three quicker exhales to the right. Inhale back to center and to the left. Thinking of wringing out the waist. Inhale center to the right. And center and the left. And center and rest. And doing those exercises everyday is going to give you those small waists.
