How to Make Graffiti Cut-Outs
- 1). Draw the graffiti image with pencil onto a piece of card stock. Use the pencil to shade in all of the medium to shadow areas of the drawing.
- 2). Tape the four corners of the card stock onto a cutting mat or a piece of cardboard.
- 3). Cut the shaded areas out of the card stock with the utility knife.
- 4). Trim any ragged or torn edges with a small pair of shears.
- 5). Add more colors to the final artwork by making an additional cut-out for each layer of color. A three-tone painting will need one cut-out that's made from the highlights, or white areas, of an image; a second cut-out for the medium tones; and a third cut-out for the blacks and shadow areas.
