How to Make a Keychain Out of Vintage Buttons

1). Sort your buttons out into the color patterns you want for each key chain. Remember that you can use more than one color as well as accents of silver and gold.
2). Measure a piece of fishing wire twice the length of the size of key chain you want. Add 2 inches to this measurement for tying.
3). Tie one end of the fishing wire in a secure triple knot onto the key ring.
4). Hold the other end of the line and thread the buttons and beads in the pattern of your choice onto the line. The buttons should all lie flat on top of each other.
5). Select a large, unusual button and loop the line through it so the button sits vertically on the other horizontal buttons. Thread the line back through the beads and buttons, pull it taut and tie it securely onto the key ring. Clip any extra line.
