How to Treat Imbalance in Hip Flexor Muscles

    • 1). Perform gentle stretching exercises for at least 1-2 minutes every day. Place one foot in front of the other and slide the hips slightly forward; maintain this position for some time as you feel the hip region gently stretching.

    • 2). Perform heel-raising exercises and compare the raise achieved by the heels of both legs. This exercise is indicative of the presence of any tears in the calf muscles in the leg with the heel raised to a lesser height.

    • 3). A hot cotton pad may be applied to the affected region for alleviating pain produced by a hip flexor muscle imbalance.
