- 1). Mix 1 tsp. mild dish soap with 6 cups of water in a bucket. Wet a sponge with the soapy water.
- 2). Wipe the granite with the sponge. Start at the rear of the surface, using a back-and-forth motion as you move toward the front. Rewet the sponge as needed to thoroughly clean the granite.
- 3). Discard the soapy mixture and fill the bucket with clean water. Rinse all soap suds from the sponge. Wet the sponge with the water and rinse the soap residue from the granite. Wipe the granite dry with a microfiber cloth.
- 4). Spray granite polish on a 3-foot by 3-foot section of the stone. Buff the polish with a clean microfiber cloth. Use circular motions as you wipe to bring out the shine. Spray another section of granite and repeat the process until finished with the entire piece of granite.
