How to Temporarily Repair a Ripped Leather Couch

    • 1). Clean the damaged area with a small amount of mild hand soap and warm water and a cloth. Gently rub the area to remove dirt and dust. Dry it completely with another cloth.

    • 2). Pull the torn edges of leather together so they are touching when you paint over them with glue.

    • 3). Apply a thick coating of clear leather glue. Keep the torn leather edges pressed together and paint the glue onto the leather and the space between the two edges where they are touching. Once covered, let go of the leather edges and apply a second coating a few minutes later.
