DIY Humidity Controller

    • 1). Remove the top from a plastic soap travel container. Punch holes in the top of the plastic lid with an ice pick. Make at least 15 to 20 holes with the ice pick.

    • 2). Cut a piece of floral wet foam with a knife. Cut the foam to fit loosely in the base of the travel soap container. Cut the foam smaller than the container to allow for swelling when wet.

    • 3). Create a 50-50 mixture of propylene glycol and distilled water in a container. Use propylene glycol to help maintain a constant relative humidity and distilled water to reduce the possibility of water-borne bacteria in the humidor.

    • 4). Wet the floral wet foam with the propylene glycol and distilled water mixture. Do not saturate the foam.

    • 5). Place the top on the travel soap dish securely. Position the soap dish humidification control device in the humidor with cigars.
