How to Remove Antiviral Software
- 1). Click on the "Start" menu in Windows and select "All Programs." Find your antiviral software program and click on it to bring up a side menu.
- 2). Select the "uninstall" option. This will bring you through the program's installation screen and remove the program from your computer.
- 3). Try uninstalling the program through your control panel if you can't find an option to uninstall the program directly. The control panel can be accessed through the Start menu as well.
- 4). Double-click on "Add/Remove programs." A list of programs will appear. Locate the antiviral program you wish to remove. The programs should be listed by alphabetical order. You can change this order by clicking on the "Sort by" option.
- 5). Click on the "Change/remove" button. This will load the screen for uninstalling. This will usually involve selecting between "repair" instead of uninstalling, and between "Custom" or "Automatic" methods. The automatic one will be the one you want in most situations. Click "Next" to go through each screen until the program removes itself from your computer.
