How to Design a Craft Fair Booth

    • 1). Keep your booth neat. This is a basic yet very important rule of craft booth design. It affects customers' perception of your booth and the products you display. Make sure that the table skirts hang to the ground and block customers from seeing extra stock and other items. Keep displayed items neat and in order. Put extra boxes, electrical cords, drinks and food containers out of sight.

    • 2). Add extra lighting. Lighting helps enhance the items you place on display. Extra lighting can also be used to highlight special items so that they stand out from all the other pieces in your booth.

    • 3). Include personal touches that make your craft booth cozy and inviting. Simple touches such as adding a throw rug, lamp or rocking chair to your booth can evoke a home-like warmth that attracts visitors to check out your display.

    • 4). Provide an open space. You want your booth to have an open floor plan that makes it easy for craft show attendees to move through your booth and see all of the items on display. Make sure that nothing blocks the entrance and that the space is open enough for several people to shop your booth at once.

    • 5). Keep the display shelves full. Customers do not react favorably to half-stocked shelves, and they will often avoid craft booths with almost-empty displays. It's important to bring enough craft items to keep the display spaces full. If that's not possible, bring "filler" items such as silk flowers, vases or other objects that can stand in visually for the crafts.
