How to Treat Puffy Eyes Naturally
- 1). Place two to three ice cubes into a zip-close plastic bag. Wrap the bag in a kitchen towel and set the cloth onto the affected area and allow it to remain for 10 to 15 minutes. The cold will reduce the swelling and puffiness.
- 2). Wet the corner of a wash cloth with cold milk and rub the affected area with the wash cloth for 10 minutes.
- 3). Cut two thick slices from a ripe cucumber. Place the cucumber into the refrigerator and allow them to cool for 30 minutes. Remove the slices and place them onto your eyes. Allow the slices to remain for 15 minutes to naturally reduce eye puffiness.
- 4). Elevate your head while you sleep. Raising your head while you sleep will prevent fluids and blood of accumulating under your eyes, reducing puffiness.
- 5). Apply a thin layer of aloe Vera gel to the affected area every day.
- 6). Create a mixture of equal parts witch hazel and rose water. Soak cotton balls with the mixture and set them onto the affected areas. Allow the cotton balls to remain for 15 minutes before removing.
- 7). Reduce salt consumption and increase water consumption. Salt makes the body retain water, leading to under eye puffiness. Increasing your water intake will also help flush out any salt that is in your system.
