Weight Loss and Maintenance
Losing weight and keeping the weight off is a lifelong struggle for some, but others never give it a second thought and remain slim.
What can we learn from those perpetually thin people who don't have to work so hard at looking good and being healthy? Metabolism is a big factor.
We all know people who are in constant motion.
Are those people every overweight? I can't think of one that is.
I'm not sure which comes first, the high metabolism or the constant activity- but it seems fairly plain to see that the two working in tandem keep people thin.
Likewise, no activity and a sluggish metabolism makes you fat.
Exercise and activity boosts your mood and helps your body burn fuel at its highest level.
Perpetual motion means you get things done, you make things happen.
Why wouldn't you be in a great mood? While you are conquering the world, you are also a lean, fit machine that is burning fuel, and therefore fat, at a very high rate.
Studies show that our bodies keep burning fat for hours after an intense exercise session, pointing to the fact that naturally intense people are nature's most efficient fat burners.
Constant motion also builds more muscle, which in turn burns more fat! In general, the leaner a person is, the more muscle they have on their body.
Muscle burns fuel at a rate three times faster than the equivalent amount of fat in our systems, (and takes up far less room) so the more muscle mass we build, the more efficient our bodies become.
The added benefit to this, of course, is that we look so much better! For lots more tips on losing and maintaining your weight loss, click here [http://www.
