Pueblo Del Sol Golf & Country Club

    • The private Pueblo del Sol course sits at approximately 4,200 feet elevation. Most of its holes are flat and fast, but some rise and fall. Challenging holes include the par 4, 443-yard 15th, where golfers must drive the ball at least 275 yards from the tee to prevent a lay-up shot. The course has a number of water hazards and more than 30 bunkers dotted around the layout.

    Mountain View Golf Course

    • Mountain View Golf Course is a military course open to the public. It's located 11 miles from the center of Sierra Vista. Designed by Ed Collet and Art Sneider, the par-72 course measures 6,879 yards when playing from the championship tees. Impressively, the course record stands at an 11-under-par 61. Because it's in the desert, some of the Mountain View's water holes are slightly drier than intended. But the course still presents challenges, making it good for beginning golfers and veterans alike. Club facilities include a clubhouse, pro shop, driving range and putting green. Green fees start at $28, with discounts available to military personnel.

    Turquoise Hills Family Golf Center

    • Turquoise Hills Family Golf Center is located 17 miles from the center of Sierra Vista. It offers a shorter 18-hole par 58 course, which means it's possible to play 18 holes in under three hours. With a good variety among the holes---par 3s as short as 79 yards and par 4s up to 348 yards---Turquoise Hills is a rewarding course for golfers of all levels. Highlights include Arizona's only triple green, elevated tees that offer views of a five-tiered waterfall, and the surrounding mountains. Perfect your short game on the 5,000-square-foot putting green and 30-yard chipping hole. Green fees start at $15 in summer and $23 in winter, depending on time of day. Student discounts are available. For golfers traveling in an RV, Turquoise HIlls offers a "park and play" option---an RV site and unlimited golf and cart for one golfer, starting at $65 per day.
