How to Train to Be a Career Coach
- 1). Attend a career coach seminar to learn what services a career coach offers. You can find seminars through community education classes, at a community college, or a local university.
- 2). Find time to speak with a career coach in person to learn about him job. Explain to him up front that you are interested in the field as he may be willing to mentor you.
- 3). Enroll in a career coaching classes. You can do this online or at a local college. This will give you an idea of the profession before you make a long-term commitment to the field.
- 4). Pass all required examinations to become a certified career coach.
- 5). Complete continuing education classes annually to stay current on career trends.
