Celiac Disease Or Candida Overgrowth Or Both
Gluten is a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley, gluten is the common denominator in most of the grain-based products we eat, such as cereals, breads, and pasta.
Candida overgrowth can lead to leaky gut syndrome, this can lead to an overactive and confused immune system, the candida fungus itself can also mimic other proteins further confusing the immune system eventually leading to an immune response to gluten and the symptoms that follow.
This so called disease seems to have developed along the same time line as candida overgrowth the question is how much of celiacs is caused by candida overgrowth.
Diagnosis of celiacs will pick up allergic reaction to gluten and damage to the small intestine this dose not prove that candida overgrowth has not caused the original problem, even if a child is born and develops celiacs at an early age if the mother had candida overgrowth and passed it to the child the candida could still be at the root of the problem.
So what is the answer the way I see it anyone being treated for celiacs or thinks they may have it should complete a candida treatment which is quiet workable when combined with the Gluten free diet, this will eliminate candida as a causative factor.
Once candida overgrowth is controlled then gluten products can be reintroduced to gauge reaction.
I have been successfully treating candida overgrowth for over ten years using and achievable diet (the easiest on the net), live bacteria's, and Homoeopathic's see candidahouse for details.
