Steps On How to Fix A Ruined BlackBerry Curve Screen
Got yourself a brand new BlackBerry Curve? Suddenly you feel like you really know what true love is, isn't it? Though something so materialistic, you can't help but feel for your favorite mobile so much! The reason behind this is simple, never in your life would you have thought the mobile phones would evolve so greatly and become more than just text messaging and calls.
This chic, sleek and elegant phone is the answer to all multi tasking people out there! So if something as horrible as a broken screen happens, it would be expected to hear your heart shatter- but stop.
Because you can fix it and you can fix it yourself! Before you get started, you first need the replacement screen to fix your BlackBerry.
Hit your regular mobile repair shops or go online and surf through the many online IT stores which will have your screen for a cheaper price.
Once you've selected the store and item you want, wait till the package comes to your doorstep then you can get to work.
Of course you could always just send your phone in for repair and just pay them for doing the work, but if you would like to learn how to repair your phone yourself and save that amount of money, then doing it yourself would be better! First step would be to remove the broken screen, to do this you need a screwdriver to break the silver piece off.
The easiest way to do this is by inserting the screwdriver a little into the ear piece and twisting it around a little until the silver piece breaks off.
Once it loosens or breaks in that small area, go around it with the screwdriver, gently breaking it off bit by bit.
When you're at the last edge and trying to pry off the screen, slip in a piece of paper between the phone and the screen so that you don't scratch the phone with the screwdriver.
Once the screen is off you're done with the first part! Clean up the area and take this opportunity to clean every nook and cranny of your phone because once the new screen is in place you won't have access to the inside again.
Next, take the new screen out of its packaging and make sure it's the right size and cut and fits into the space where it will go.
When you've settled that, it comes to the tricky part.
There will be some double sided tape that comes with the screen; you need to place this in the parts that will hold the screen down.
Remember that you should stick this onto the phone unit and not on the screen, so gently and very carefully place it into the lines and follow the cutting of the tape as well.
When it's in its position, use a Xacto knife to press it into place and lift off the adhesive from the tape and press the new screen down into place.
You're done and it cost you much less than what it would have if you took it to the store!
