How to Get Rid of Static in Your Hairbrush

    • 1). Hold the hairbrush against a metal object, such as a doorknob. This creates a small electrical shock that gets rid of the static electricity. This method is most effective if the brush is made of metal.

    • 2). Fill a spray bottle with water. Spritz the brush once or twice with the water to get rid of the static.

    • 3). Rub a dryer sheet against the hairbrush. Dryer sheets are made to reduce static in clothes, but they can also remove small amounts of static from other objects.
