Huaweis Hot Spot A Hot Item For Sprint Lte

If there is one U.S. network that is pretty excited about LTE, that excitement goes to Sprint. This U.S. telecommunication provider has been working hard in ensuring that its customers will experience LTE as soon as everything is in place.

Sprint was able to establish part of its LTE network last year with its first tower cluster. This January, Sprint informed the list of lucky markets wherein subscribers will be able to experience fast internet speed. When a mobile network is venturing into LTE and you are one of its thousands, if not millions, of subscribers, you should have a mobile phone that is LTE ready or enabled. There are still no confirmed reports but leaked information provides the public that Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be the networks first LTE handset. This is a warm welcome to Sprints subscribers considering that Samsung Galaxy Nexus is currently in a good marketing position.

Subscribers of Sprint welcome the mobile carriers gearing towards 4G. This is what they have been looking for in a long time since WiMax has been introduced to the subscribers of Sprint. A video uploaded in YouTube shows the theoretical speed of the LTE service of Sprint. In this video, a Huawei branded hotspot was connected to a computer that basically runs on the LTE pipeline of Sprint.

In the video, the tower utilized was the one in Houston. The guy in the video was 1.8 miles from it. The test was done without any congestion being experienced with the network. You may also assume that during that time, it seems that no one was using the data pipeline of Sprint.

Based on the Ping done by the guy in the video, it showed that there have been good Ping times and it reached download speeds of up to 40Mbps while upload speeds reached up to 5Mbps. It has been concluded that even during the day, upload speeds averaged at 5Mbps. Further experience was noted by being able to reach download speeds of up to 50Mbps.

The test that has been done here was made during those times that traffic was nowhere to be found and in terms of access, you are the only one that is using the pipeline as of that moment. We all know what congestion means and the actual speed can only be measured when there are other users as well.

However which way we put it, LTE will definitely improve our surfing lives. Imagine yourself uploading pictures in your favorite social networking site without the need to wait for 30 minutes or one hour just to be able to get things done. If you are streaming, it will be easy for you to continuously watch films or shows without having to wait for a couple of minutes or to some extent, even an hour just for this one.
