Before The Bigs:
- Signed as an undrafted free agent at age 17 by the Montreal Expos in 1993.
- Never hit lower than .314 in the minors, and had a big season at Double-AA Harrisburg in 1996, where he hit .360 with 19 home runs in 118 games.
- Guerrero made his big-league debut at age 20 in September 1996, and became a regular in the Montreal lineup in 1997.
- Brother Wilton Guerrero, an infielder, played in parts of seven major-league seasons.
- Career Highlights:
- Spent his first seven full seasons with the Expos, where he made three all-star teams.
- Hit .345 with 44 home runs and 123 RBIs in 2000.
- Came one home run away from getting 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in 2002, when he hit .336.
- Signed with the Angels as a free agent in 2004, and was named American League MVP that first season in Anaheim, when he hit .337 with 39 home runs.
- Named an American League All-Star in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
