Making More Money, Part 1

If you have already cut your expenses as much as possible, you can now start on increasing your income.
Probably you are wondering how you are going to find the time and energy to work at a night job.
It is not as bad as it sounds.
And keep in mind that we once had to do all or most of these things ourselves.
And just remember that working two jobs is only a temporary situation and can be accomplished without exhausting yourself when you know it is for only one year.
Get a Part-Time Job Yes, this is the one you were dreading or even thinking impossible.
But before you rule it out entirely, let's look at how this can benefit you personally.
The first benefit is the additional money.
Let's say you grab the first part-time job you can find (stocking shelves in a store).
If you start at $6.
50 an hour and, because you are working your regular full-time job also, you work at it 15 hours a week, that's about $78 a week (after taxes) or over $4,000 for the year.
How much do you owe on your charge cards? How much will $4,000 help? Now what if you got a part-time job that pays better? How much more will that help your budget? The other benefit is that this could be the opportunity to break into a new career that you have always wanted to try.
Let's say your a mid-level manager in a manufacturing firm.
But you have always wanted to be a writer.
Because of this, you look through the help wanted ads in your Sunday paper under "writer" and find a position with a magazine where you will be interviewing people and writing articles.
Or do you spend your week in an office job but love the outdoors? Again, this could the right time to find a complimentary job as a landscaper on weekends.
This part-time work will give you the chance to try these new things out and, if you find you really enjoy it much more, you could end up with a whole new career.
