Look for chalk that contains calcium carbonate, which comes from ground-up marine animal shells. The calcium carbonate is a natural ant repellent. Use powdered chalk and sprinkle it in your garden and flower beds to keep the ants from coming into your house. The chalk can be drawn on baseboards, around plumbing, in dark corners or any other area that ants are found entering your house.
