Absolutely Not!  You can get started this weekend with the tools you already have around the house with the help of a good DIY energy guide.  "But I don't have the time for anymore projects around the house."  If you decide to tackle a DIY energy for your home, start small.  You don't have to have you whole house on a DIY energy source.  Start with something small, like a small solar array to charge you cell phone with.  DIY energy projects can be very fulfilling and fun.  Get motivated and get started this weekend.
