How to Make a Heater Made From a Candle & Clay Pot
- 1). Turn the 8-inch pot upside down and place two 3/4-inch washers over the hole. Thread the bolt down through the washers and into the pot.
- 2). Turn the pot over and place the following four washers over the bolt in this order: 1-1/4-inch, 1-1/2-inch, 1-inch, 1-inch.
- 3). Thread the 6-inch clay pot through the bolt so it is nested inside the 8-inch pot.
- 4). Place the following 11 washers and nuts over the bolt in this order: two 3/4-inch washers, nut,1-1/4-inch washer, nut, 1-1/2-inch washer, nut, 1-1/4-inch washer, nut, 3/4-inch washer, 1-inch washer.
- 5). Thread the 3-inch clay pot through the bolt so it is nested inside the 6-inch pot.
- 6). Place the following 11 washers and nuts over the bolt in this order: two 1-inch washers, nut, 3/4-inch washer, nut, 3/4-inch washer, nut, 3/4-inch washer, 1-inch washer, nut. Tighten the last nut so it secure but not so tight that it puts undue pressure on the pots.
- 7). Set the heater on the clay pot feet so the opening of the heater faces down. Place the candle beneath the heater so the metal core of your heater is one to two inches above the candle's flame.
