How to Fit Holiday Chores Into a Work Day
- 1). Take a few minutes during your work break to create your holiday grocery shopping list. It's quick and easy and can be typed up on the computer or written on paper if you don't work in an office.
- 2). Spend your lunch hour writing out your holiday cards and addressing your envelopes. If you prefer to "go green," send out e-cards on the computer instead.
- 3). Visit the post office to get stamps if you plan on sending out hard-copy holiday cards. Try to go a little before or a little after lunch time to avoid longer lines.
- 4). Purchase holiday gifts online during your lunch hour. It will save you from running around and will show up on your doorstep within a few days, allowing you time after work to relax and enjoy the holiday season.
- 5). Take advantage of co-workers who may be selling things as fundraisers for their child's school. Some schools sell candy, while others sell gifts, wrap, and even gift cards. You'll be supporting a friend while getting holiday chores done during the work day.
- 6). Go grocery shopping for holiday dinner on the way home. Pick up that night's dinner, too, premade, so you can relax that evening.
