How to Unlock a Samsung SGH A737

    • 1). Find a company that provides unlock codes for your phone (see Resources). You can choose from a variety of companies such as My Unlock Code, Mobile Unlocked or GSM Liberty. Though these companies charge a fee for their services, both Mobile Unlocked and GSM Liberty provide a refund if the unlock code they provide does not work.

    • 2). Take out your phone battery. Write down your International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number that lies on the interior portion of your battery compartment. Purchase the code you need and wait for it to arrive via electronic mail.

    • 3). Place the chip of your previous network phone provider into your battery compartment so your phone will operate. Put your battery back into your phone.

    • 4). Type in your code. Enter the data on your cellular device exactly as it shows up on the email. Push the "Call" feature on your cell phone to transmit the code.

    • 5). Place the chip of your new network provider beneath your battery. Phone a friend or family member to verify that your phone works.
