How to Get Grease Out of Jeans

    • 1). Apply the solvent cleaner (ref 1) to your clean white cloth, soaking an area the relative size of your stain. Use the cloth to blot the stain on your jeans. If this does not remove the grease proceed to steps two and three.

    • 2). Mix three to five drops of detergent per 1/2 cup of water. Dip the denim in the mixture, or use another cloth dipped in the mixture to apply it to the stain.

    • 3). Dip a portion of another clean white cloth in alcohol. Apply the portion of cloth to the stain. Let your pre-treatment stand for an hour or two. Wash your denim in a regular wash cycle. If the stain remains, let the jeans dry naturally and repeat steps.
