Simple to Use

• Taxact Online offers a free filing option for simple returns which many people use. The online tax software walks users through their income sources and offers an easy way to enter W-2 information. At the end of each session, you can save your work, which allows you to continue working on your tax return later. Taxact also gives you the option of reviewing and/or printing out your taxes for the current year or from previous years.
  
  

Previous Year Tax Information

• When you go to Taxact Online, you will either register as a new user or sign in as a returning user. New users will be assigned a user name and password. To return to the website and review your previous tax returns, simply enter your user name and password, then follow the menu prompts to access your previous tax returns. You'll have the option of viewing or printing those returns.
  
  

No Memory, No Problem

• It's difficult to keep track of every user name and password you've created for all the websites you visit. Taxact is very helpful in this respect. If you can't recall your user name or password, you can recover your login credentials using your Social Security number. Most websites don't request your Social Security number but since Taxact.com deals with taxes, you do need to provide this information. Enter your Social Security number and your user name and password will be emailed to you.
