How to Water Bermuda Grass Sod

    • 1). Moisten the prepared bed before laying bermudagrass sod down.

    • 2). Apply ¼-inch of water to the sod immediately after installing it.

    • 3). Irrigate the bermudagrass sod twice daily for the next two weeks, giving it ¼-inch of water each time.

    • 4). Pull gently on a few grass blades. If they come off the ground easily, the grass roots haven't become established yet. Continue to water the sod twice daily for another week.

    • 5). Water established bermudagrass sod when the blades begin to wilt. Give it ¼-inch of moisture. Apply more water if the plants don't spring back up.
