- 1). Add 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap to 2 cups of water. Stir together with a spoon. Dip a white cloth in the solution and blot the bleach spots for several seconds.
- 2). Rinse the soapy solution off the carpet with a cloth dampened with cool water. Pat dry with a towel. Continue if the bleach stains remain.
- 3). Refer to the color-mixing chart in the carpet dye kit to achieve the correct brown tint to match the carpet. Mix the dye accordingly.
- 4). Add 1 to 6 drops of water one drop at a time to the carpet dye to thin the mixture. Mix the dye thoroughly.
- 5). Dampen the foam sponge in the dye. Blot the bleach spots with the foam sponge until you have covered the spots completely with the dye. Allow the carpet to dry.
- 6). Repeat step five until you have achieved the desired results.
