- 1). Brush over the mildew spots with a stiff scrub brush. This will remove as much loose mildew from the surface as possible. If the brick surface is indoors, lay down plastic sheeting on the floor below to protect the area.
- 2). Fill a bucket with one gallon of warm water. Add one cup of liquid chlorine bleach.
- 3). Spray down the brick with water. For outdoor brick, use the garden hose. Spray indoor brick with water from a spray bottle.
- 4). Dip a clean, stiff scrub brush into the bleach mixture. Scrub the mildew spots vigorously with the bleach and scrub brush until they are gone. Rinse the scrub brush frequently into the bleach mixture so you don't reapply mildew to the surface.
- 5). Rinse the brick thoroughly with plain water from the garden hose. If the brick is indoors, fill a clean bucket with water, then use rags and water to rinse off the brick.
