- 1). Mix herbs together in bowl, then place a tablespoon or so into the middle of a square of clean cotton cloth. Tie with string or ribbon.
- 2). Wash or dry clean wool blankets or garments before storing, since moths are attracted to stains from food and drink. Store clean, folded blankets in zippered plastic bags and include a homemade sachet bag made from the dried herbs.
- 3). Use empty tea bags (available at natural food stores and health food stores in the bulk section) to make small sachets instead of fabric, if you prefer. Just fill the teabag and tie with string, ribbon or a twist-tie.
- 4). If you can't find the herbs specified, other natural moth repellent herbs are lavender, lemon and tansy.
- 5). Shop for dried herbs in bulk at health food stores, farmers' markets, natural supermarkets and ethnic grocery stores.
