How to Disable Seeding in uTorrent
- 1). Open the "Options" menu at the top of the uTorrent window, and select "Preferences."
- 2). Click "Queuing" on the left side of the window.
- 3). Click the field next to "Minimum Ratio" and type "1." This setting tells uTorrent that you want to stop seeding a torrent when you have uploaded 1 percent of the content you have downloaded. You cannot enter "0" in this field.
- 4). Click the field next to "Minimum Seeding Time (Minutes)" and type "1." This setting tells uTorrent that you want to stop seeding a torrent after one minute. You cannot enter "0" in this field.
- 5). Click the field next to "Limit the upload rate to" and type "0." This setting tells uTorrent that you do not want to upload content once the goals of one minute and a 1 percent upload ratio have been reached.
- 6). Click "OK."
