How to Change a Cell Phone Faceplate

    • 1). Turn your phone over and remove the back cover to expose the battery. Remove the battery from the phone. On some cell phone models you may have to remove the battery cover using one of the optical screwdrivers.

    • 2). Open your flip-style cell phone. Using tweezers, or your fingernails, remove the rubber stickers that cover the screws used to hold your cell phone faceplate together.

    • 3). Use the optical-sized Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws from your cell phone faceplate. Once the screws have been removed, use the optical-sized flathead screwdriver to unscrew and remove the phone's front and back faceplates.

    • 4). Align the new front faceplate with the cell phone screen. Snap the back faceplate on to the back of the cell phone. Replace the screws and use the optical-sized screwdrivers to tighten them.

    • 5). Replace the cell phone battery. Cover the battery with the battery cover and snap into place. Your new cell phone faceplate is now attached.
