2007 Broadcast Film Critics Association Nominees and Winners
The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) were able to put on their annual awards show despite the fact striking writers effectively shutdown the 2008 Golden Globes scheduled for less than one week after the Critics Choice Awards. The Critics Choice awards proceeded as planned, without a single striking writer walking a picket line in front of the star-studded event. Because the Critics Choice Awards show isn't covered by any guild contracts, actors were free to attend.
