How to Make a Portable Projection Screen

    • 1). Measure the bed sheet and cut it to the proper size for your screen. Leave approximately one inch on all sides for the seam and four inches on the top and bottom for the pipe sleeves.

    • 2). Fold the sides of the screen over one inch and sew a seam along each edge.

    • 3). Cut the PVC pipe with a miter saw into two sections. One section should be the length of the bottom of the sheet and the second sheet should be roughly two feet longer.

    • 4). Lay the screen out flat on the floor. Place one section of PVC pipe two inches from the bottom of the sheet. Fold the bottom of the sheet over the pipe and pin the sheet to itself. Remove the pipe from the sheet.

    • 5). Sew a seam along the pipe sleeve.

    • 6). Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for the top of the sheet.

    • 7). Insert the shorter PVC pipe into bottom pipe sleeve. Hand-sew the pipe sleeve shut on both ends.

    • 8). Insert the longer PVC pipe into the top pipe sleeve so that one foot of PVC pipe is sticking out of each end of the pipe sleeve. Use the protruding pieces of pipe to hang the pipe on hooks, shelves or whatever is available wherever you take it.
